BDS here, just a quick note to let you guys know about some updates I’ve been doing to the site recently. I’ve basically just been cleaning up the site somewhat, making sure all the information we have is relevant and attempting to drive a little more traffic here. Below is a rough list of the changes I’ve made:

Removed Schedule page
Added Podcasts page to host all our current Mixcloud uploads
Updated About page to include some relevant information about the site.

I also added a new podcast, Narot Presents Darth Waader 2, so head on over to the podcasts page to check it out. Also, we’re always looking for new DJ’s to create new podcasts and content and such, so if you think you’ve got something that should be on this site, contact me either by emailing bdsimpleton@radiofreediscordia.org or by clicking the chat page.

UPDATE: Just like to do a quick shoutout to the wonderful Suu and her radio show on Madkid Radio! I love online radio, and it’s always great to find a station that delivers awesome shows consistently. You can listen to Madkid Radio on ubroadcast here and you can check out Suu’s archived shows here. Go take a look and have a listen, you won’t regret it!

It’s been a while, I’ve been busy with exams and whatnot, but I’d like to present to you some brand new content! Mixed by a new DJ, Narot, this show promises the best of EBM and Industrial material.

So, the two mixes I’ve done are embedded here. One is an oldies mix, the second perhaps fresher. I’d appreciate any feedback on them.

Perhaps more to the point, though, is I’m very much looking for other people to get onboard with this. If you’ve got any pre-recorded material already set up, or if you fancy doing a mix/show, I’d love to chuck it up on the Mixcloud, so we can get people listening to it. Much in the same style as with the live stuff, it doesn’t matter what genres/styles/whatever you choose, it’s entirely up to you. Don’t think you gotta play music either, if you just wanna rant into someone’s ears, that’s cool too.

A few people have contacted us via the web looking for shows. I believe the answer is, yes you can probably have a show. You need to talk to Mourning Star, and the best way to find him is to e-mail him at mourningstar aaaaat rfd.org. He can also be found hovering 500 feet abobve #discord like those weird heads in that crazy move ZARDOZ. You know what I’m talking about? I don’t even know what was going on in that movie, I was watching it at this new years party and I thought I dunno, maybe I was traveling through time. To another year. That’s what I get for partying with Discordians. I started 2009 watching ZARDOZ and now my whole year is screwed up.

I removed the dummy entries from the schedule section on the Radio Free Discordia website.

So if the time slot you’d like is not on the list, it’s available. Please be somewhat specific.

Also, I emailed the people over at 2600 seeking permission to rebroadcast Off The Hook on RFD. Hopefully Emmanuel (or whoever reads those emails) will grant us that permission. If so, we will be broadcasting the previous week’s show, 1 hour prior to the live broadcast of the current week’s show on WBAI (Also simulcast online).

UPDATE: Volt4ire got back to me and said we are free to use OTH for any and all non-commercial purposes.

If anyone is needing more information about this, or you want to get involved but you’re worried it might be too complicated, get in touch with me, it’s actually quite simple with very minimal instruction and configuration.

I want to “Officially” Launch the first week of March. Hopefully I’ll have finished my IRL bzns by then and be available for tech support etc.
